I'm seeking information about Col. Joseph Barton, who commanded the NJ
Volunteers (A Loyalist regiment) during the American Revolution. He
emigrated to Digby, Nova Scotia where he died in February 1888.
I would like to find out who Joseph was married to and the names of his
children. According to the Digby County web site, his heirs were granted
1250 acres in The Hatfield Grant of 1801. Does anyone have any
information about this family that they could share?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
