My 2nd Gr Grandfather, John Ross Barton was born in Mifflin Co PA in 1804 &
came to Ohio (Holmes Co) about 1824. His parents were Samuel Barton &
Elizabeth Reed. We are not familiar with the Barton Book you mentioned or the
family. There is a book called "1777-1804 BARTON GENEALOGY, being the
Posterity of Samuel Barton" which was compiled by our Samuel Barton's
descendants about 1904.
