Thank you, you are not off base in fact i found the same information when i was doing my research today at the LDS website which i believe is: www.familysearch.org
im not sure. i'd have to go back. I'd LOVE to know who the Edward Barton who was born in 1559 in England who his parents were. I could come up with nothing. See my earlier posts re Parents of: SMITH BARTON NY & the replies that have been going back and forth. I am related to them as my grandmother on my mom's side was Edith Ruth Barton Shetler. And my mom's maiden name is Shetler of course. Hope this helps, email me anytime.
