I am looking for any information on Jacob Barton of Frederick MD 1750 to 1800. And possibly their ties to Orange, NC of 1800s
Is he the Son of Joshua Barton of Baltimore, born 1834?
Brother of Joshua Barton who went to Bourbon KY?
What is Bartonsville, Frederick, MD all about?
Jacob Barton is found in Frederick in 1851 and throughout the 1850s and 1860s and died shortly therefter leaving a will. A Joshua Barton is found in Frederick as well in the 1850s, "found a stray horse"
I have not followed these lines in Frederick MD yet, but I am trying to figure out if they are from the Thomas Barton and Abagail of Baltimore linage, and possibly of Joshua Barton Lineage Ie.
Are these Frederick Bartons close kin to the West Baltimore Bartons, district 4 and 5 of Baltimore 1800? Kin to Captain-Major James Barton, and his sons William, James, and Asa Barton.
I still do not understand what family these last four Bartons came from, or if they tie into the two Barton lines of Baltimore of Lewis or Thomas Barton.
Jacob Barton and Asa Barton are found together in Northern Orange County North Carolina in 1810 to 1830, ? son Josiah Barton and kids went to Iowa, Missouri, and Washington State. 1830 Jacob Barton is found with William Horn in Orange NC. This Josiah Barton is lineage Ie, most likely of Thomas Barton and Abagail. Like alot of the Bartons in this era, their kin were in TN, KY, IA, MO, and beyond
