Hi, my name is William R. Bassett, Katy, Texas.

I descend from the Maryland line of William Bassett & Rachel ___ from
the mid-
1700s, John Bassett who married Elizabeth Morain in 1808, Washington Bassett
and Nancy Wroten (Fletcher), John W. Bassett & Elizabeth Harding, William A.
Bassett & Mary Elizabeth White, John W. Bassett & Emma Long, my parents.

All the males above were born in Dorchester County, Md. from ca. 1740 to
1907, in the case of my father John W. Bassett.

There is also a Nathaniel Bassett who married Berthia Smith. They are listed
in
LDS records as "Rec MD", which I presume means their marriage was recorded in
Maryland. Ancestry.com shows Nathaniel as born about 1760 and died in Barn
Stable. Mass. Do you have any record of this couple?

Do you have any Bassett Line that goes to Maryland?
