I have wondered for sometime now if descendants of our line might have
moved over into Maryland. Am from the line of immigrant (1635) Thomas b 1617
England & Mary (possibly Hayes) Bassett of York Co., VA; thru son William
Bassett; thru Thomas Bassett II, descending thru Thomas each generation til
Thomas Bassett V of GA and AL.

William Bassett, son of Thomas I, had son John Bassett who married
Elizabeth (possibly Carter) and lived in New Kent County, VA and had property
in Hanover. John Bassett may have been twice married, but he had son William
born 1724/5 New Kent County, VA. Have had difficultly tracing these folks.
Have wondered for sometime now if perhaps some of our folks might have moved
over into Maryland.

Just a thought.
