Edward Batten and Edith his Wife, Mortgages to Conrod Baker, Mortgagee:

For all that plantation of Land lying and being in the Township of Piles Grove
containing One hundred and Ten Acres of Land and Swamp and adjoining lands of
Sam'l Baman (?) , Jacob Nelson and John Till~

The above Plantation is Mortgaged together with other Lands in Gloucester County for
the payment of the following sums of Money, viz & etc.

The Sum of One Hundred Pounds the Twenty Seventh day of November 1782.
The Sum of Fifty Pound and six Months lawful Interest on Two hundred & fifty
pounds the 27th May 1783.
The Sum of Fifty Pounds with Six Months Interest on Two Hundred Pounds the 27th
day of November 1783.
The Sum of Fifty Pounds with 6 months Interest on One hundred and fifty Pounds the
27th day of May 1784.
The Sum of Fifty Pounds with 6 months Interest on One hundred Pounds the 27th of
November 1784.
The Sum of Fifty Pounds with Interest the 27th day of May 1785.

Mortgage Deed was dated the 14th day of August 1782 and acknowledged the 22nd
day of the same Month before John cooper, Sr. of Gloucester County.

Mortgage Deed brought to the office and Recorded the 30th day of December 1782
by Jacob Tagart, Clerk
