I am attempting to locate the village of origin of my great grandparents who
separately sailed from Bremen Germany in 1873. We believe Conrad Braun
(b.10/21/1846)and Barbara Wunder (b.1/29/1845) and her daughter Margaretha
Wunder (b.3/4/1869) were from a Bavarian village called Bergen (or similar),
but have no specifics. After arriving in the US they married and settled in
Illinois. Any help would be appreciated in locating their place of origin.
