My Hanus family, according to ship's passenger list, lived around
Munich. My gr-grandfather left first, going from Bremen to Baltimore,
arriving October 18, 1887.
How long would a person have to stay in Bremen before actually leaving?
Was there a set protocol? Would he have been able to buy his passage or
ticket while still in Munich or would that be done after arriving in
Bremen? I assume the trip from Munich to Bremen would have been by
train, is that correct? I hope someone can enlighten me on this.
