I an new to this site.
Am looking for the parents of Samual Wallace Beard born in about
1817. My grandmother Mary Hinchman Mann Simms told me he was born
in Pence Springs, Summers Co WVa. I have a West
Virginia,Pocohanas Co. 1870 cencus listing him as just Wallace
Beard, farmer , age 53.(1817) It lists his wife correctly as
Sarah (Hinchman) age 47 (1823)and lists Luiza S.23, my great
grandmother Ella Alice, 15(March 3, 1855), Mitchell W.13 (I know
Ella had a brother Mitchell), Mary S.8, Minerva J. 5.
I have another cencus from 1850 that lists a Wallace Beard, age
40, (that would make his birth date 1810 , 7 years differance) .
wife Sarah age 26(1824) thats only a year off from the other
Sarah listed in the 1870 cencus.I dont know if the two are the
same so I go with the 1870 cencus date of 1817.
In my extended tree,I have a Samual Beard born Dec 26, 1820, son
of John Beard and Nancy McClintic. The dates close but I have
that Samual as having two wives, Sabrina Gillian and Margaret
Dnapp . Margaret and he had a daughter Racheal.
I have a couple of other Beards that married onto the family
that I have nothing but their name, would also love to find more
on them if anyone is interested.
Will be glad to share what info I have.

I can not match Samual Wallace with any parents. I also have a
number of Beards mixed in my family tree that go back to Capt
John Beard and Jennet Wallace. I have not been able to match my
Samual Wallace with any of the Samuals I have listed in my
extended tree of distant cousins through the Manns and McClintics
, But am sure that he must be related to Jennett Wallace because
of the Wallace middle name. Perhaps through one of her brothers
families.
