Forgot the William your looking at is William # 2 he was a child of
William # 1 and Brabara Livingood, they are the grandparents , of John J
Williams # 2 is the son .

Sharon, I seeking information about my ggrandfather, whose name was John
(Jessup?) BEARD who would have been born about 1835. I figure his birthdate
based on information I found on him in the 1880 U.S. census for Calhoun Co.
MS [John, age 45, married to Melinda (NIX), age 35; children: Belle (10);
Sophie (6), and William (3 years or 3 months?)--my grandfather]. Based on
naming conventions at that time, my JOHN's father could be named William
(first son named after paternal grandfather).

I have found information on a John J. BEARD who, based on the ages of his
brothers/sisters, would have been born about 1835, in August Co. GA. This
John J. BEARD's father and mother were William (b about 1804, d 1871 Augusta
Co. VA) and Barbara Lovingood and he married Mary Johnston Greiner -- YOUR
William BEARD below. Do you have any information on John J. Beard? Any
information appreciated.
