Since you know your ggrandfather's place of death, it would be a good idea to
get a copy of his death certificate. It should show place of birth and parents'
names--perhaps even his parents' birthplaces. Also, if he lived in that same
place for any length of time, try to find him in the 1910 census record. That
will give you quite a bit of information. Keep working backward from the
present. Good luck.
