Mary, thanks for note.A Simon Beard either arrived in SC or had parent who arrived
there in the 1700s from Dublin(a family told story)This Simon had a son Simon or
as
story goes depends on which Simon, any way a Simon produced 2 sons;John and a
Simon.About 1800 John died in SC,his Brother Simon and John's wife relocated to
Hempstead co Ar,arriving there about 1820 via Mo.Both families are found there
at Ozan and Saline.John in Ark was the son of the SC John and produced a large
family of which was born an Albert Conway Baird,my gt gr father.NOW,lets get to
Ga.Albert Baird married his cousin,Cornelia Atkins of Henry co Ga.They were
married there in her parents home, where she was born, raised to adult. Her father
wasJoseph
Atkins a well documented person of that area. Both of them,Albert and Cornelia had
a
maternal sisters connect. Both of their mothers were sisters of the John Adams
familt
also well documented in that co.Albert's gr mother was also an Adams of SC.Please
look at the ancestry.com documents of Ga lands and see the Beards,Atkins,Adams'
entered on land records of that area and the 1827 andlater drawings of that area
and see that they all are together. Also you can find them, all 3 fams in Abbeville
SC and again
in Ark during the opening of Ind Terr in 1820s and on.Some Atkins migrated to
AL,MS
and TX later. My Albert was in Ark til old age and brought to OK to be cared for
in
old age, where he died and was returned to Ark for buriel. If you will study these
references you will see these families and their interconnecting lives.Maybe this
will only confuse you and maybe on other hand help you understand.I am chasing 16
families
and really have an involvment in the process.Only one of these fams were union
sol,all
others were conf. Most all of these fams came to Am 1700s.To connect all of the
available Beard-Bairds of mine is a master task and having adequate time in my
late age is impossible. My wife is born Czechoslovakia and this is still another
story!!!Where is your Beard-Baird connect?Lay out a little of it so I might see
if a connect.The earliest Beards
are found in the Long Canes APR church of Abbeville. The movement from there to
GA,AR is family tales.Let me hear please.ADAMS ATKINS BEARD BAIRD BOND
