Fred we have conversed on my Beard's,but I just noticed that you have
Penningtons in your line,too. I am also researching my husband's line which
is going pretty well,but I do have stumbling block on his lines. One of
them is Sarah Ellen(Sallie)Pennington b.ca.1866 in Tennessee or Illinois.
She was the daughter of Simon Pennington and Almary----. She married Creed
Taylor Norris in Cumberland Co.,Ky,and she d.and was burried i n 1947 in
Cumberland Co.Ky.This lady and her husband were my husband's g grandparents.
My mother in law always claimed that there was Cherokee Indian in her
line,and it was said to be on this side through this line(her mother was Mary
Josephine Norris m.William Henry Anderson.) She also claimed the same on the
Anderson side. I personaly thinnk that Sarah Ellen Pennington came from
Tennessee,due to the normal migration trails and due to the Cherokee Indian
link.
