I don't mean to sound stupid, but sort of leader are you looking for? I am
assuming for the surname "Beard". Your message didn't say what sort of
leader you are looking for. If it is for the surname "Beard" I wish there
was someone out there alsso as I am a "Beard" decendant. I haven't been
working on Genealogy long enough to know what I am doing most of the time so
I'm certain I wouldn't qualify.
I've noticed for a long time that it is hard to find any good information on
the "Beard's". I have only been able to trace back to my G Grandfather,
William Harrison Beard, from Illinois and he married Mary Ann Elizabeth
Smith, from PA. They would have been born in the early 1800's because my
Grandfather, John W. Beard was born 24 May, 1862 in Mo. died, 11 April, 1925
, CO and is buried at Divide Creek, CO. He was married to Laura Evelyna
Williams, b.4 April 1877, MO, d. 5 March, 1928, buried at Granite Hill
Cemetary, Grants Pass, OR.
My father was Percy Jean Beard, b. 21 Sept., 1902 at Manitou, CO, d. 19 May,
1966, Medford, OR, buried, Sterlingville Cemetary, 10 miles SW of
Jacksonville, OR on Sterling Creek Rd. about a mile from home. Married Ruby
Myra Hulse b. 9 May, 1918, Flora, OR, d. 29 Nov. 1985, Medford, OR, buried,
Sterlinville Cemetary on top of husbands grave. She had been cremated.
I have some records of some of my father's aunt's and uncle's plus on his
brother's and sister. Other than that I can't seem to come up with anything
else.
I've been so busy the past year doing volunteering work that I haven't had
much time to sit at the computer. Do to health problems I'm quiting the
volunteering so will have more time to do the things I need to get done at
home and besides doing genealogy I hope to get back to doing some needlework
and make up some baby blankets for my grandchildren for whenever they get
married and have families.
Sorry about rambling on and on, but this is what I always do when I get a
chance. I don't see anyone very often except when I was doing volunteer work
and that was passing out food to the needy two times each week and a third
day on the 2nd and 4th Thurs. of every week.
I do hope you find a leader or what ever it is you are looking for so we can
make this Beard list more active. Good Luck.
