Hi Eve
When you say "if those are the first Timpsons ...." what do you mean? I
think the Timpsons I am looking for at present are ag labs, in the shoe
business (not as yet linked with the well known Timpson shoe family but
fairly close) and dressmakers/lacemakers. In fact the Timpson I really
want to find is Betsey Timpson who is my gg grandmother. On censuses it
says she was born in Birmingham but I am not convinced about that. She was
a dressmaker.

I am a member of GOONS and am starting to collect any TIMPSON information
so will look at Bucks - thanks
