This Indenture made the twenty third day of Aprill Anno Dom 1711 and in the tenth year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lady Anne Queen of Great Brittaine & Between James Topham & Joseph Mayes Churchwardens of the parish of Eaton Socon in the County of Bedford Paull Patisson Joseph Peirson & Hugh Harrisson Overseers of the poor of the said parish of the one part: & Thomas Geeson of Eaton Socon aforesd Labourer of the other part Witnesseth that the said James Topham and Joseph Mayes Paull Pattisson Joseph Pierson and Hugh Harrisson by and with the consent of two of her Majties Justices of the Peace for the County of Bedford (whereof one is of the Quorum) whose hands are hereunto Subscribed Have put placed and bound Apprentice to the said Thomas Geeson Ann Mires an orphan of the said parish of Eaton Socon and with him to dwell and serve from the day of the date of these presents for and dureing and unto the full end and terme of Seven years from thence next ensuing and fully to be compleate and ended Dureing all which said terme the said Apprentice her said master and Dame shall faithfully serve their secretts keep and theire lawfull commands t all times shall willingly obey from the service of her said master she shall not depart day or night without license but in all things shall behave herself as a faithfull Apprentice to her said master and all his dureing the said terme And the said master and dame do covenant that they their said Apprentice in the Houswifry and otherways when to gett her living will teach or instruct or cause to be taught and instructed whatsoever to the way of Houswifry belonging finding and allowing unto the said Apprentice good & sufficient meate drink and apparrell both linnen and woolen hose shoes washing and lodging and all other necessaries fitting for such an Apprentice dureing the said terme And allsoe at the end of the said terme shall give and allow unto his said Apprentice double apparrell 9the last day) for working days and holy days such as shall be decent and meete in consideration of her fine and faithfull service In Witness whereof the parties above named to these present Indentures theire hands and seals Interchangeably have sett the day and year first above written
