Perhaps I can help you with the Goethals half of your inquiry, but your note
was not specific. I am personally aware of my heritage only as far back as
my great-grandparents, who arrived in New York from Belgium in the
mid-1800s. However, I am aware of others who are conducting extensive
research of the entire Goethals lineage.
