Seeking information on:
Joanna (nee Tuboville?) BERGGREEN, born ca 1914, perhaps in Antwerp,
Belgium.
Pia(?) BERGGREEN, born ca 1938 in Antwerp, Belgium.

Both are known to have emigrated to the USA in 1945.

Joanna is the widow of Herman BERGGREEN, born 12 April 1909 in Antwerp
Belgium, son of Hugo Christian BERGGREEN (Danish, born in 1879 or 1880 in
either Bremerhaven, Germany or Hamburg, Germany and "Tine" (nickname), born
ca 1885, presumed in Antwerp, Belgium. Herman died 15 May 1945 in Camp Dachau
concentration camp of typhus. He was 35 years old. Herman fought the Nazis as
a member of the Belgian underground and was captured by the Nazi's and sent
to Dachau. There is some indication that Herman's father Hugo also fought in
the Belgian underground, and was captured and became a Nazi prisoner of war
as well. Some years after the war Herman's remains were exhumed from their
resting place in Germany and interred in a cemetery in Antwerp.

Joanna and Herman married ca 1935, in Antwerp, Belgium. They had one child, a
daughter, Pia(?) Berggreen, born ca 1938 in Antwerp, Belgium.

After the war was over in 1945 and after hearing of Herman's death in Dachau,
Joanna and Pia left Antwerp for America. All contact with them was lost.
