Thanks to all who replied to my search for the card game Bien, especially
to William Van Ermen. By surfing web site he gave I found what I was
looking for under the French 32 card game Belote. I am guessing that as the
game traveled north in to southern Belgium and then to the Flemish speaking
area they named it Bien. It was also interesting to find the hundreds of
card games with the instructions and variations listed.
