Hi Marcella,

I forgot to add one thing.
Luxemburg is an independant country since 1839. So if your ancestor was
born before that date, which seems probable, she was born when Luxemburg
was part of Holland.
After its independance it remained under the same king as Holland (cfr
Canada and Australia under the king (queen) of the UK), but was part of
the "German Bund" untill 1867.
So people in the US who did not follow all the subtilities of European
dynasties in those times, could call her Dutch, German or Letzeburg as
well.
