My great,great, grandfather Joseph,David Adler,his wife Henriette
Westreich, their ten children and several of their children's spouses
migrated from Krakow,Poland to Antwerp,Belgium in the mid 1880s.Based on the
evidence I have found on Polish geneological websites it is apparent that
many thousands of other Poles, mostly Jewish, settled in the city in the
latter half of the 19th century.I would be very interested in information
about Polish welfare organisations or societies established in the city as a
result of this influx.I would also be interested to know whether there are
any surviving organisations still in existence in the city serving the
Polish community
