From going through family records, I really believe that almost
everyone went by their second name and the first name was on their birth
registrations, but not used. It is just the opposite of what most
people do here in North America. As for the names folks go by, it does
make things difficult when their names are different than on the
certificates. Hopefully we will learn how to keep things simple with names.
