Subject: CHOLSEY- interests in the place & also names of WELCH & STOCKER

I'm interested in making contact with anyone with connections with Cholsey who could provide information about where a dwelling listed as near the Berks Asylum, in 1881, could be. My interest stems from the fact that my great great grandfather (James WELCH) was a gardener at the asylum & was responsible for planting some of the trees there. He was not living in the Lodge but somewhere near the asylum. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I'm also interested in any information about the school in the 1880's & 1890's. I found a book in Reading library showing the school in 1898. I believe one of my great great uncles could be in that photo. His name was Frank WELCH.

Is there anyone who can provide any information about William & Elizabeth Martha (nee WELCH) STOCKER who are buried in Cholsey churchyard or on any of their offspring, including Dorothy (known as Dolly) who is also buried there. I gather that William & Lizzie also had sons called Yorke & Cecil but have no information about them.

Any information relating to any of these queries would be much appreciated.

Thankyou.
