EDWARD EUGENE BELYEU

EDWARD EUGENE BELYEU was born on October 22, 1904, in Pontatoc, Mzssissippi to Rufus Marion Belyeu and Montze Alma Warren Belyeu. At the age of 2, his famdy moved to Texas and then to Oklahoma. On April 27, 1933 in Guthne, Okla., he married Iva V. Whetstone. Edward was an employee of Rock Island Railroad and Douglas Air Craft before moving with his wife and children to Modesto, Ca, in January of 1946. In the mzd-fifties, he became a partner ~n Johnston & Lowell Floor Covering and remained in the floor covering business until h~s retirement at the age of 82. He has been a member of Bethel Church since 1950. Mr. Belyeu was preceded in death by h~s parents his sisters Estelle Davis, Ethel Logsdon and Madge Bruce and by his brothers Thurman Sneed, John Belyeu and Ray Belyeu. He is survived by brothers Darrell Belyeu, Lamar Belyeu and Leon Belyeu, all of Oklahoma. Also surviving are his wife Iva, his daughter Dee Merenda, daughter and son-en-law Beverly and Lewis Ashcraft and son!
and daughter-in-law Donald and Cynthia Belyeu. Grandchildren Steven Berthel son, Jeffrey Lambaren, Douglas Belyeu, Julie James, Kathy Breazeale, and Karen Velazque~z and Lewis Ashcraft, Jr Great-grandchildren Shana Berth elson, Courtney Berthel son, Deanna Belyeu, Jacqueline Belyeu, J. T. Breazeale. Jennifer Belyeu, Jordan Belyeu and Rylee Velazqu&.

The family requests that any remembrances be sent to Community Hospice, Inc., 601 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, Ca., 95350-5443.
