Subject: BIRD, (Mary) Elizabeth - VA to Greene Co. TN

I have been searching for information on Elizabeth BIRD who was born in VA
about 1772. She married Benjamin SEATON and they lived in Greene Co. TN until
her death between 1840 and 1846. When I first began researching Elizabeth, all
the records said she was born in Richmond VA, the daughter of Philomen (Philip)
BIRD and Catherine CAMMACK. There was a Philomen BIRD in Richmond, VA at the
right time but the wife and children don't match (unless he had two different
sets of wives and children). Elizabeth and Benjamin were said to have been
married in 1785, possibly in Richmond. I have searched all the records
available to me for both the city of Richmond and Richmond Co. VA but can't
find any information. There were lots of BIRDs in Greene Co., TN in the late
1700's and 1800's, and I'm sure some were brothers or uncles to Elizabeth, but
I haven't been able to make a connection. I was wondering if anyone else has
researched the BIRD family in Greene Co. TN or has seen a BIRD/SEATON marriage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
