Hello everyone, I recently subscribed to this list in hopes of finding
information on a family ancestor name William Bird (middle name
unknown). He was born in 1827 and to the best of my knowledge, came from
the Finger Lakes region of New York State. He moved to Illinois and
married Esther Mary Sweet, born ca.1832, who was from Vermont. They then
moved to Kalkaska, Michigan where they lived out their days.
I've contacted the local genealogical society in Seneca County, New
York but they don't have a record of him there. If anyone has
information on a William Bird in that area it would be most appreciated.

Other names I am researching: Carter (Pennsylvania), Zimmerman
(Pennsylvania), Sweet (Vermont)
