Seeking the origin and ancestry of Rachel Byrd/Bird, born abt 1826, married
J. J. Cates 1849 in New Hanover County, NC. Lived and buried near Burgaw,
NC, in the Brother's Graveyard. Could she be one of the six children of
Nathan Byrd (of Lenoir County, NC) and Sarah Elizabeth Byrd? Or, is she
related to the Rachel BYRD/BYRD who was 62 years old in the 1850 Census and
who lived on land that she owned on Burgaw Creek?
