This is the only entry that I've found for any John Bird/Byrd/Baird in the
Pittsylvania Record Books:
Pittsylvania County VA Record Book 1, p. 437, June, 1772
On the motion of Nathaniel Terry, a witness for John Baird in his suit against
Donelson, it is ordered that the said John pay him for two days attendance and
once coming and returning 55 miles according to law.
John Baird, Plaintiff against John Donelson, Defendant. In trespass on the
case. This day came the parties by their attorneys and thereupon came also a
jury to wit: Robert Halladay (and others). Judgement 156.12.8 against
defendant.
