Thank you Ros, Godine is the name. Somewhere in Yorkshire there is a family
of Godine. Yes I know that our Wharton family where in the financial
decline, I do not understand why, other than they may have over stretched
themselves somewhat. Even the Stanleys did the same, I was reading that
playing cards ,cambolingand losing lots and lots of money. their mistakes
effect us all in someway, shipping etc, must have drained them financially
too, The wealthy people who Stanleys married into were very rich, however,
it doesn't make a Knight an accountant, etc, , Richard the Lionheart,
received money for the crusades, but what good did it do for him. Anyway, my
pension with some savings is my lot, how about you.I say God bless them
all. They are in my life as long as I live. Much love Barbara.
