Greetings

To add to the biographical list, I am a retired banker born in Toronto
and now living in the
small suburban community of Aurora just north of the city. I worked for
41 years with a large
Canadian bank, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, living and working in
a number of
cities in Canada as well as in the U.S. and in Barbados. I am now 63
years old so I seem
to be one of the older members of the BISSETT group (I still have
difficulty typing a
second "t" at the end of Bisset after having spent my entire life
to-date correcting people
who automatically insert the second "t".)

My grandfather, Peter Bisset, was born in Edinburgh in 1873 emigrating
to Canada in
1908. My mother, a Reid, was born in Aberdeen, so I am Scottish on both
sides of my
family. Unfortunately, I have never visited Scotland, although I am
planning to rectify this
shortcoming later in the year. My wife and I are looking forward to a
visit this summer
to Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Huntly/Lessendrum and Beauly.

I have no musical talents whatsoever and as far as I am aware neither
did any of my
recent ancestors.(The musical gene most other Bisset(t)s in the group
seem to have
inherited obviously bypassed our family). I also have little interest in
photography nor any
great interest in gardening although at my wife's insistence I do spend
many summer hours
in our garden. On the positive side, I did earn an MBA degree at the
Harvard Business
School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Fortunately for me, the creative
deficiencies were
not considered drawbacks in the banking community and I was able to
enjoy a satisfying
career with the bank.

All the Bissets in our family were and are relatively tall - my father
and his two brothers
were almost 6' in height as am I and my male Bisset first cousins. My
son is slightly over
6'.

Regards to all

Ronald James Bisset
Aurora, Ont. Canada.
