Hi all,
Ronald James Bisset wrote,
(I still have
difficulty typing a
second "t" at the end of Bisset after having spent my entire life
to-date correcting people
who automatically insert the second "t".)
I know exactly how you feel!
It has never ceased to intrigue me why business and officials automatically
assume that there are two t's in Bisset.
Bisset{t} is a relatively {no pun intended} rare name even in the U.K. the
most high profile Bisset is Jacqueline with one t so how did the nations
consious assimilate two t's as standard ???
As an example 99 times out of 100 Smith will be without a Y.
