I am a lurker but I am ever present! I watch all the emails. I have
never been able to link to anyone so here goes...maybe this time...

Lodewick Bissett b.5-8-1807 N.C. (one family genealogist says he was
born in Germany!) d.6-17-1883 Dewitt Co., Tx. married
Mourning Williams b.9-25-1810 Nash Co., N.C.. Her parents were Henry
Williams and Mary Polly Williams. (They were kin to each other)
Known children:
1) Lancelot L. Bissett (my line) b.11-13-1830 Ala. d.1-1-1894
Dewitt Co. married Sarah Jane Rusk or Lusk.
2) Barzella Bissett b. Miss.d. Tx.
3) James Lee Bissett b.Miss d. Tx.
4) Celety (Celesty) Ann Bissett b. Miss. d.Miss.
5) Amanda May Bissett b.Miss. d. Tx.
6) Aquilla Bissett b. Miss. d.Tx.
7) Emily b. Miss d. Tx.
8) John Henderson Bissett b. Miss. d.Tx.
9) Christopher Chase Bissett b. Miss d. Tx.
10) Lelia Arkigh Bissett b. Miss. d.Tx.
11) Henry Hines Bissett b.Miss. d.Tx.
12) Mary (Molly) Jane Bissett b.Miss. d.Tx.

Lodewick and Mourning came from a double line of Williams and married
in Nash Co., N.C. then lived in Ala. for awhile then moved to Miss.
After about 20 years they show up in Jackson Co., Tx. Then soon after
they settled in Dewitt Co., Tx. After Lodewick died she lived with
her children in Bee Co., Tx. Namely Blanconia, Tx. and Skidmore, Tx.
Later part of the family moved to Tivoli, Tx. Refugio Co.

Nash Co., N.C. census shows a John Bissett and a Joseph Bissett living
very near each other. Any help is very appreciated!!!!
