Hi,
The name Tyrrell came up when famous Bissets were being discussed, and I
thought I'd add my two cents worth. Joseph B Tyrrell (1858-1957) was a
famous Canadian geologist, mapping in Alberta, where he
discovered dinosaur remains, and in the Canadian North. The world famous
Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, Alberta is named after him, as is the
Tyrrell Sea. When the glaciers left Hudson Bay about 7800 years ago, the
land was so depressed by the weight of the ice that thousands of square
miles of what is now dry land was flooded. The flooded area was covered by
the Tyrrell Sea.
