Subject: [BK] Is there a trick?

Hi guys,
My subject line says 'Is there a trick?" but I think it's more of a wish.
And it's been partially discussed before.
Maybe John could indicate whether this is something which he foresees for
the coming new version, or even as an upgrade in the current programme.
When I started my database 4 or 5 years ago I just left death-dates that
were unknown empty.
I have since found that it is much to be preferred to enter at least
something like Abt. 19??
The year being for instance approximately 85/90 years after the date of birth.

I would like to have a possibility of rapidly replacing an empty
deathdate-field (or maybe any field) by pulling up all the records with an
empty deathdate field.

This would be possible with the "Missing Information report", but instead
of a printed list (or its preview) I'd like to have a "Make list to Edit"
as in the Word Search option.
The "Missing Information report" demands a printout and a call to the Edit
window for every individual record. The "Make list to Edit" option allows a
double click on each record to pull it into the Edit window.

The Utility doesn't have this possibility as the field I am asking for is
not in the list of mentioned fields and anyway one cannot ask for an empty
field.

In view of the existing possibilities, I wonder if I am asking for
something very complicated? That's the advantage of knowing nothing about
programming, one fool can ask more than all those wise men......

Or does anyone have an easy way out in the existing options?
