John if I read your problem correctly, the normal method I use to select "copy and paste" is to 'Drag' the cursor across the required information. In case you are not familiar with the technique, simply place the mouse cursor at the beginning or end of the selection (I prefer the end), hold the left mouse button down & move to the other end of the selection. Release the left button (for right handed users) & click the right button. A context menu will appear to make your 'copy' selection. Move cursor to the required action & left-click to activate. The clipboard will now hold the selected text. Move the cursor to the body of your email, right-click, select paste, left-click & your selection will appear in the email starting at the cursor position. Cut & paste is similar except the selected data will be removed from the original.
