I need to add something to my earlier note about today's new 12-marker
results for a descendant of Peter(II), rather than assuming anyone else
is following this as I do.
This set of markers is actually the third set of markers for descendants
of Peter(II). The first two sets were for Joshua Blancett (#30303) and
me (#8814). We are each a 36/37 comparison versus the modal haplotype,
and 35/37 versus each other, even though our most recent common ancestor
born in 1803. So the extension of today's results to 37 markers will be
highly interesting to us, at least.
Meanwhile, I'm still looking for a descendant of a son of Thompson
McGowan Blancett (other than his son Reed Leroy, my grandfather) who is
willing to be tested. On Joshua's side, I'm looking for a descendant of
a son of William Thomas Blancett (other than Garrett Hobert Blancett),
or a descendant of a son of Garret Hobert Blancett (other than William
Wilbert Blancett). Samples from those candidates would help identify
the source(s) of the differences between Joshua's results and mine. If
money is a problem, I may be able to find a way around that barrier.
Allen
