TO: Kara & Rob ( )
FM: Don Blankenship ( )

Thanks for your eagle eye and follow-up query regarding Isham
Blankenship's wife. As you noted, I previously had posted in my genealogy
listing that Isham's wife was BERTH DAVIS, and this obviously is quite
wrong. It definitely is an error and has been corrected by me. It must have
been one of those late night sessions when I was too tired to be working on
genealogy. I searched to find who "BERTHA DAVIS" actually was and found her
in the Blankenship Rootsweb archives. She belongs to a Gilbert Blankenship
as his second wife.

From: "David J. & Anita Montgomery" < >
44. Gilbert Blankenship (Isham, Isham, John B., Ralph) was born
September 18, 1790 in VA, and died abt 1871 in Blount Co., TN. He
married (1) Edy Lane August 9, 1820. He married (2) Bertha Davis. He
married (3) Elizabeth Hughs April 10, 1828.

ANYWAY, IT SEEMS THAT THE MOST AUTHORITATIVE INFORMATION ON THE WIFE OF
ISHAM BLANKENSHIP IS CONTAINED IN THE EMAIL MESSAGE BELOW WHICH ALSO IS IN
THE BLANKENSHIP ROOTSWEB ARCHIVES. This may be the same source as your
information which suggests that Isham Blankenship's wife was named Sarah
and that her surname was likely to have been either Wilkinson or Wallace.
Below is the very well reseached original data submitted by Barbara.
