I obtained a copy of a marriage record from the Butler County Records Center, 123 North Third St., Hamilton, OH 45011 for Cephas Blossom and Rebecca Pope on March 28, 1855 by Rev. Elias Seward. Rebecca was a daughter of Thomas and Cordelia(Caroline)Fenimore Pope, found in Preble County in 1850 and Butler County in later census. She most likely died soon after, because I also received record of another marriage of Cephas to a Rebecca Jane Peake on September 27, 1857 by the same Reverand Seward. "Cephus" Blossom is then found in Somerville, Milford Twp. as a widower on the 1910 census. I am trying to identify the parents of Rebecca's father Thomas Pope(A Civil War veteran) and trace them back to PA.
