THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL MOTION

I Move the adoption of the following resolution:

Whereas, The USGenWeb Project is the official name, as voted in on
November 1996, and

Whereas, the TNGenNet, Inc. by-laws are erroneously representing the
name of The USGenWeb Project, for example:

ARTICLE V, SECTION II. USGENWEB PROJECT. The TNGenNet, Inc. shall remain
affiliated with the USGenWeb
Project, provided that the USGenWeb Project remains a non profit
and free to the public, genealogical
association and that the USGenWeb Project meets our goals and
standards set forth in the Preamble of our
Charter.

and,

Whereas The USGenWeb Project by-laws do not give the Advisory Board
authority to manage individual XXGenWeb or Special Projects, therefore
be it

RESOLVED:

That the TNGenNet, Inc. project revise or dissolve their by-laws, and

That before adoption, any XXGenWeb by-laws be approved by The USGenWeb
Project Advisory Board, and

That The USGenWeb Archives Advisory Board be given authority to force
XXGenWeb's and Special Projects to make any changes as so desired by the
majority of the Advisory Board, without input from or discussion with
volunteers of said projects.
