Welcome back Pam!

As long as my resignation has not yet been acted upon, I am taking this
opportunity to rescind my resignation. I have had a rather peaceful week,
thinking that I was no longer in a position to be blind-sided by those I am
supposed to be working WITH and I have not yet been unsubscribed from the
appropriate board list.

However, I am outraged at the posts I am seeing from the NC. I feel the
need to rejoin this group, in order to represent those people that elected
me to this position and to protect those same people (the county and state
coordinators) that have worked so hard to bring this project to where it is
today.

Day by day, this project appears to be moving toward a project run by
individuals and/or small groups of individuals rather than the "bottoms up"
organization it is professed to be. I find it very difficult to stand by
and watch what is happening. The original members of this advisory board
quickly fell into a cohesive group, willing to hash things out until a
consensus was reached on what was necessary for the project as a whole.
Unfortunately, the general feeling of the current board is a "We vs.
They" situation.

Until this group finds themselves able to work together and to discuss
things without fear that their opinions and/or questions will be posted to
some newsgroup for all to view, (usually out of context), I feel that my
vote on important issues is necessary to keep this project from falling
into the hands of a small group of people whose agenda remains, as of yet,
unknown.

We have numerous motions on the floor and we need to "clean it up". It is
time we took a look at the various motions that have been made, decide
which of those are still on the floor and which of those have been voted
on. I also think that it is time for all of us to take a good long look
at the bylaws. We need a little reminder about what our jobs are with this
group. NO ONE is the GRAND POOBAH! ". I will not tolerate any more snide
remarks about the board to any of the lists from other members of the
board. I also refuse to be treated like a two-year old.
