Subject: Re: USGenWeb Election Results

I want to thank all of you for participating in our election.. I was so
tired last
night that all I wanted to do was get the news out to our members!
You are all to be congratulated! I' d also like to apologise to all of
you whose names I misspelled or <blushing> forgot..

There is one thing that those of us in *leadership* positions in The
USGenWeb Project need to think about. There were 1860+ eligible
voters...less than half of them voted... which means that their main
interest is in providing information to people who are researching
their genealogy, and our job is to help them do that.

So, lets all get to work and make The USGenWeb Project bigger
and better over the next year!

The Election committee is evaluating this election, and will write a
report to give to the lucky folks who get to do the election next
year. We would appreciate any comments that you might have on
what we did right, wrong, or could improve on!

Kay Mason
Chair, USGenWeb Election Committee

ps.. Megan, I copied and pasted the addresses off the voter
lists..<grin>
