Joy,

Thank you for including me in your posts! I am in full agreement that these
are critical issues that we need to resolve ASAP and I'm sure the membership
of USGenWeb is fully behind that sentiment.

However, I don't believe an IRC meeting is the way to go about it. These are
not personality issues, but ones of election procedure, and of such scope as
to affect each member of the Project. These discussions and their resolution
should be carried out here, on Board-L, where the members of the Project can
see what is or is not being done. None of this should be arrived at in
anything less than the full view of the membership. If we stick to that, I
doubt there would be any complaints about the "48 hour rule" being passed
over.
