I didn't "table" it. I said "While we are waiting for the EC to do its work I'll ask for general consent to refer Motion 02-13 to committee so we can get on with other work.

The goal is to fill the vacant seat. The chances of Motion 02-13 passing today are slim to none. The chances of Motion 02-13 passing (in it's present form or amended) after the additional information is receieved from the EC improved. All the motion to refer does is to move Motion 02-13 off to the side for a brief time so that we may continue with other work while the EC does it's work.

If you want to challenge my assumtion of general consent to proceed in this manner, I will arrange for discussion of the issue, but it will be done in a manner that does not prevent us from moving ahead with other business.
