How does recording the vote of the members of the AB make the EC partisan? If
the voting results of the AB are to be make a matter of record, then it should
not matter that the EC has knowledge of our votes. It will all come out once
both sets of votes are tallied. They actually serve as a watchdog, an oversight
committee, if you will. They insure the validity of both sets of votes. If we
trust them to hold a general election, replacement polls, we certainly can trust
them to hold a removal vote of both CCs and AB members. ONLY the AB member
votes will eventually become a matter of public record.

All the EC is requested to do is to hold secret the votes of the AB members
until other votes are tallied in order to minimize any influence the AB might
have on the CC vote and vice-versa.

I cannot see where that violates any by-law. Each AB members vote will be
recorded in our public site.

The amendment has the taste of taking individual personality out of the voting
process. In fact it is even greater than any of our normal votes; we will not
see each other's votes until the final disclosure. Wow!

Thank you for your concern and comments.
