Subject: [BOARD-L] Motion 03-11
Date: Mon, 5 May 2003 10:04:18 -0500

Mr. NC and AB Colleagues:

The other day, I proposed two possible amendments to this motion. I much
prefer the one that would allow the use of the SC-L for the simple reason
that the SCs will be the conduit for the comments of their own CCs. It
should make for a smoother exchange of information. Since there was no
discussion in regard to either suggestion, I'll propose what I would like to
see, again...only reflecting the use of the SC-L.

I move to amend motion 03-11 to read as follows: I move that the State
Coordinators and AB members use the State Coordinator's list for the purpose
of discussing the future of the USGenWeb Project.

The only item for discussion will be whether to continue the organizational
structure of the Project in its current form, a revised form, or to disband
the National level.

The discussion is to be limited to a two-week period, unless the NC calls
for an extension of up to, but no longer than, an additional two weeks.

At the end of this discussion, the pros and cons for change or maintaining
the status quo will be presented to the general membership and the NC shall
instruct the Elections Committee to conduct a vote of the general membership
in regard to this issue.
_______________

There are some points within the limited scope of the subject for discussion
that need to be brought out. Points that have nothing to do with any
current speculation that is running rampant in the Project.

One morning, Papa Bear and Baby Bear griped about their porridge. Papa's
was too hot. Baby's was too cold. Mama said: "Gripe, Gripe, Gripe! I
haven't even made the porridge yet."
