Subject: Candidates for Unexpired Term
Date: Fri, 04 Jun 2004 07:45:38 -0700

A request for volunteers to fill Christine Goff's unexpired term (until 31
August 2004) has been posted to all Project lists, and there are two
applicants. There was one additional nomination, but the nominee declined.

each candidate has submitted a brief statement:

Sherry Hall, State Coordinator of KYGenWeb:
I have been involved with the USGenWeb Project in one capacity or another
since 2000. I currently serve as SC for the KYGenWeb Project and as KY
Archives File Manager for the KY USGenWeb Archives Project. I firmly
believe in the basic principle of the USGenWeb Project - to provide free
access to genealogical information, and to ensure that all contributions
are protected from being removed at the "whim" of a CC. I'm interested in
the position of SEMA SC rep to continue making a positive difference in the
USGenWeb Project, by representing the SC's (and/or CC's archivist's)
concerns.

Angie Rayfield, State Coordinator, NCGenWeb:
I have been a member of the USGenWeb Project since 1996. I host
counties in North and South Carolina, and was recently affirmed for
another year as State Coordinator for the NCGenWeb Project. Because of
my prior service on the AB and my familiarity with most of the issues
facing the Board, I believe I am uniquely qualified to "hit the ground
running" to help the Board move forward with the important business at
hand.
Thank you for your consideration,
Angie Rayfield
State Coordinator, NCGenWeb Project
