Subject: Regarding Logos

I have thought on this logo situation all day long and we gave the USGenWeb website a face lift under the direction of Isaiah. The web site is fantastic and others must think so too.

Personally, I would like to see uniformity and that being we update our web pages to coincide with the national pages. I know that will never happen as you can't please all the people all the time but you can please some, some of the time.

In the previous session we talked about a logo contest. We had a lot of tossing things back and forth whether we have multiple logos or do we have one logo for everyone.

The motion is on the floor right now to accept Julie's logo as an alternative, the old logo would remain the official logo until such time that a vote can be taken by the membership. We just lost the Eagle logo and a lot of us had that logo on our pages, me for one.

When the old national web page was created back in 1996 and a logo was chosen, computer technology wasn't what it is today, software for graphics has improved ten fold, our web pages have become more professional in their appearance. I really think we all need to take a good look at what we have for logo's and voice your opinions on the regional mail lists.
