I would have participated in the discussion, but it began Sunday and I work
during the week and have little time on the computer. By the time I
gathered feedback, which is still coming in, a vote was called for already.
I hope in the future 'feedback time' can span a weekend or at least one
weekend day after discussion is open.

I vote NO based on the number of related issues that should be addressed
first.

- I've received feedback indicating that we should have one logo to identify
the USGenWeb Project. Various colors of the same logo are fine, but some
feel that multiple different looking logos are confusing.
- It was almost unanimous that they liked the new logos a lot, but some had
questions, such as regarding transparency of the logo which were not shown
on the proposal page when the motion went into discussion.
- Some wanted a chance to vote.

My No vote does not mean we should abandon the process of trying to adopt
these logos, but just that we need to take the time to address some of these
concerns first.

Thanks,
Cyndie

As discussion seems to be concluded, please cast your vote on Motion
04-23:

. . . to approve the McGrew-Ayres "USA/flag" logos shown on
http://www.mcgrewfamily.com/usgw.html as officially acceptable
alternatives to the existing USGenWeb logo for all USGenWeb sites.

YES to approve them
NO to not approve them

Shari
