I want to explain that I was prepared to vote YES for the logos to be
used as alternatives, since that's what the majority of comments from
those in my region asked for, when more discussion appeared about the
originator of the logos being prepared to change them and offer more
variants of the designs, so I voted NO.

Let's first get the situation completely set up, then vote on whether to
permit alternative use of a specific set of logos. Let's also start the
process of considering a change to "the" logo, and set up a vote by the
general membership on that issue.
